Privacy Policy
This policy covers the memni.app website and its notification list. It separates the data we deliberately store from the technical data Cloudflare processes to deliver and protect the site.
The short version
We run no audience analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies. If you join the notification list, we store your email, platform choice, signup page, consent-notice version, and timestamps in a Cloudflare database restricted to the European Union. Cloudflare still processes request and security data needed to serve and protect the site.
The app itself
Memni is not publicly distributed yet. Development builds keep the library and search index on the user's computer, but the public build will have its own privacy notice covering activation, updates, optional diagnostics, and any integrations actually included at release.

Who we are
The memni.app website and notification list are operated by the independent maker of Memni under the MKDevForge name. The operator is the data controller for information deliberately collected through this site. For questions, corrections, or requests about your data, email hello@memni.app.
This policy applies to the memni.app website and its notification list. It does not cover a Memni desktop build or any separate terms supplied to private testers.
What we collect
Browsing requires no account. We do not add audience analytics, advertising trackers, or marketing cookies. As the site's host and security provider, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP addresses, request headers, and security signals as described below.
If you join the notification list, our notification database stores:
- Your email address, plus a hashed copy we use to prevent duplicate entries.
- The desktop platform you want to be notified about (macOS, Windows, or Linux).
- The Memni page where you submitted the form.
- The date and time you first signed up and, if you change your platform later, the latest update time.
- The version of the privacy notice shown when you joined or updated your entry.
Our notification database does not store your IP address, name, or location. Cloudflare separately processes network and security data when it handles the form request.
How we use it
We use notification-list data to email you about Memni previews, release availability for the platform you selected, and launch pricing. The stored page path tells us which Memni page produced a signup without using third-party analytics.
We do not sell this data, share it with advertisers, or use it for unrelated products. Our legal basis for storing it and sending these messages is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by asking to be removed.
Anti-spam verification
The notification form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks whether a submission appears legitimate. Turnstile processes browser, device, and network signals, including your IP address, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Our form receives a verification token rather than the underlying signals, and our application does not store them.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the website, runs Turnstile, and provides the database used for notification-list entries. It processes requests on our behalf to deliver pages, accept form submissions, and identify abuse. This can include IP addresses, request headers, device or browser signals, timestamps, and requested URLs.
The notification database is configured with Cloudflare's EU jurisdiction. This restricts where that database runs and persists notification-list records to the European Union. Cloudflare Pages and Turnstile use Cloudflare's global network, so this database restriction does not mean every request or security signal is processed only in the EU.
Cloudflare's handling and retention of that technical data are governed by its service terms and privacy policy. We do not add analytics or advertising tracking, and our notification database does not include IP addresses.
Fonts and other page assets are served through the same site rather than requested from a separate font or advertising provider.
How long we keep it
Notification-list entries are kept while pre-release and launch notifications are active. We will review and delete the list when it is no longer needed for that purpose. If you withdraw consent sooner, we delete your entry.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, including removing you from the notification list entirely. Email hello@memni.app and we will handle it promptly.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you these rights formally: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, along with the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects how we use notification-list data, we will notify the list before it takes effect when required or appropriate.
