Memni is a desktop app for finding information across PDFs, scans, Office files, saved email files, Markdown, plain-text notes, and other documents on your computer.
Memni is currently being tested privately. Windows comes first, with macOS and Linux later. There is no public download or announced release date yet.

What Memni can do today
Section titled “What Memni can do today”- create a library that stays on the computer;
- search PDFs, modern Office documents, saved email files, HTML, Markdown, plain text, and supported image files from a folder;
- read English and Finnish text inside supported scanned PDFs and images;
- search exact words, find related documents that use different wording, and use a multilingual model to find documents across languages;
- read document text beside the result list;
- organize documents with folders, tags, your own fields, and saved searches.
From a clue to the document
Section titled “From a clue to the document”- Add a folder containing the documents you already use.
- Search a phrase, name, number, or detail you remember.
- Narrow broad results with a phrase, tag, file type, date, or another filter.
- Open a result to read it without leaving your search.
- Continue in Memni’s reader or open the original file.
Text quality varies by format and file. Import activity identifies files that need attention.
